9 June - International Archives Day

9 June is International Archives Day, a date chosen by the International Council on Archives in 2007 to promote archives and good record keeping. Why 9th of June? This day was chosen because it is the anniversary of the creation of the International Council on Archives under the auspices of UNESCO in 1948.

On International Archives Day, Archives and Record Keeping organisations around the world are encouraged by the International Council on Archives to:

National Recycling Week - Recycle Responsibly
