Alexander Library Building alterations affecting the SRO

The State Records Office wishes to advise clients and visitors that the State Library of Western Australia has been undertaking building works in the area immediately adjacent to the SRO. It is understood that these alterations will cease by the end of September 2009 and there is noise and associated works issues in the SRO’s Microfilm and Search Room area.  Entry to the SRO during this period is via the SRO's own front door into the Cultural Centre at the South West corner of the Library building.

There has also been some minor works between the SRO and the State Library which has affected the SRO’s microfilm area.  It is hoped this work will be finished by mid August 2009.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
