Ms Henderson was founding archivist of the John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library and managed it from its inception in October 1996. Previously she was closely involved in whole of government recordkeeping initiatives as a team leader at what is now the State Records Office. Ms Henderson was a founder member of both the RMAA and ASA Branches in WA, when they were established in the early 1980s, and in 1996 achieved national recognition of her contribution to recordkeeping when she was awarded the Laureate of the Australian Society of Archivists.
