Digital Records Working Group
The Digital Records Working Group (DRWG) was established on 10 February, 2005 to:
1. Give advice to the State Records Commission (SRC) on the development of guidelines, principles and standards for the:
- Management of digital records in government agencies
- Long term preservation of digital records
- Fraud avoidance/authenticity
- Descriptive standards
- Storage strategies for digital records
- Transfer protocols for digital records of archival value and
- Public access to digital archives
2. Provide the SRC with advice regarding a framework for a digital solution to recordkeeping; and to
3. Assist the SRO in developing solutions to the effective management of digital records.
As of May 2008, the following agency and community representatives were members of the DRWG:-

- Mr Brian Soares, Office of Shared Services
- Mr Brian Stewart, State Library of Western Australia
- Mr Richard Teasdale, Art Gallery of Western Australia

The Digital Archive Support Manager, Meg Travers, provides research and coordination support to the work of DRWG.
