Freedom of Information Policy

The Freedom of Information Act prescribes rights and procedures for access to documents held by Government organisations. State Records Office records subject to a Freedom of Information request, regardless of their disposal status, will be identified and retained until action on the request and on any subsequent reviews, by the Information Commissioner or the Supreme Court, are completed.

Records of the State Records Commission include minutes of meetings, agenda and associated papers. These can be inspected by appointment at the State Records Office. Electronic copies of the minutes of Commission meetings are accessible in the Commission Minutes section of this site.
